The eldest member of the nine Jackson kids kept very much out of the spotlight as far as a recording career is concerned. In 1984 Rebbie (pronounced 'ree-bee') signed to CBS to release her first record. But Rebbie already worked in show business before getting a record deal while working as a cabaret and session singer or in some TV productions. In those project she worked, for example, with people like Betty Wright, The Emotions and Lynda Carter. She was a part of the 'Jacksons Family TV Show', too.
The first record Rebbie Jackson released was called 'Centipede' and came out in 1984, the title track was written and produced by her little brother Michael. Two further records by her has been released on CBS, 'Reaction' (1986) and 'R U Tuff Enuff' (1988). The album 'Reaction' includes a duet with the legendary Mr. Isaac Hayes called 'Tonight I'm Yours'. In 1991 Rebbie signed to Motown Records but this contract didn't produce any releases. On Sony/Expansion, a record called 'Rebbie Jackson Collection' was released that included her best collection of songs taken from her 3 albums.
In 1998 after signing to Michael Jacksons MJJ Productions, Rebbie released her latest album called 'Yours Faithfully' that contains, among other great songs, a duet with Michael called 'Fly Away'.
Born Sigmund Esco Jackson in 1951 in Gary, Indiana, Jackie Allen Jackson began recording and playing with his brothers at an early age. He used to sneak his father's guitar and practiced with his brothers every chance he got. At the age of 12 when his father finally realized the boys were using his guitar when he wasn't around, Jackie Allen, Michael, Marlon Jackson, Tito Jackson and Jermaine Jackson were given a chance to perform. The group performed in front of their father first who became enthusiastic about the boys' talents and abilities. With encouragement from both parents, The Jackson 5 were ready to make a public appearance. Joe Jackson, their father, worked part time at a mill and full time as the manager of the group...

LaToya Jackson (born May 29, 1956) is one of the many siblings in the family which has produced such highly successful musical acts as The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, and Janet Jackson. She was the first Jackson sister to pursue a solo career. However, her albums were always critically panned and, although they sold moderately well, it was generally believed this was due to her siblings' popularity. She did have an American top sixty hit in the 1980s with the song "Heart Don't Lie".
LaToya has caused much controversy; she appeared nude in the Playboy magazine, wrote an autobiography called "Growing Up in The Jackson Family", went shopping with a boa constrictor around her neck, and stated that the allegations of child abuse against her brother, Michael Jackson, were true. Now she is reconciled with her family and says the image of her being the "black sheep of the family" was the creation of her management. Her manager, Jack Gordon, was also her husband, but he was abusive toward her and they are now divorced...
